Utah’s Backcountry is on the “bucketlist” of many of the worlds dirtbike riders and is the USA’s “goto” off-road playground. The huge web of trails in this region makes this a destination where you can ride for days, and around each corner is just more stunning scenery. Backcountry is defined as a geographical region that’s remote, undeveloped, isolated and/or difficult to access. For all us dirtbike riders, that’s precisely the point.
Utah is constantly ranked as one of the USA’s most scenic states. Our ride will take us through continually changing and breathtaking scenery with striking natural beauty and vistas straight out of the set of a Clint Eastwood Spaghetti Western. Join us for 3 Days of riding that covers many of the iconic locations within this dirt riders paradise, with a new adventure each day. You will be exploring some of the most extraordinary terrain in the world while enjoying the beauty and excitement of riding in the amazing state of Utah. The landscape here is just mind blowing with towering mesas, buttes, and pinnacles rising from flat desert floors. There are the most spectacular layers of sandstone, shale and limestone that jut into the sky to form a scrappy geological theme park. This vast expanse has some of the most spectacular geological uplifts in the world, that has created an area of beauty and ruggedness. Wind and water erosion have cut hundreds of canyons into the rock and we will be riding through many of them on this tour. The continual stunning views make it hard to watch the trail, with incredible views in every direction. Photo stops will be in abundance.
We use a local guide on this tour who has ridden in this region all his life and is extremely well skilled in shaping a ride to suit each tour group. You will be guided through the best terrain or trails possible for your riding skill. Our guide is also a trained Wilderness First Responder.
We run this tour over 5 Days (4 Nights). Our overnight accommodation will be in one of the many tourist locations that the region has to offer – usually hotel/motel style accommodation. Single bookings may be in shared accommodation unless requested otherwise.

Difficulty Level: –

This tour caters for Intermediate & above levels of riders. Each tour is tailored to the skill & experience of the group. “Breakout” routes are optional for those wanting to challenge their skills – or just to entertain the rest of the group. 🙂 :

  • At least 5 years Intermediate off road riding experience is recommended
  • Everyone enjoys this tour, from Intermediate to Extreme rider
  • 6 – 7 hours of riding per day is usual on this tour

Expected Terrain: –

Approx. 5% Bitumen and 95% Dirt (Ranging from serviced roads to unserviced single trails)
Conditions in this region are mostly great for riding. We run this tour in Spring (April) – the ideal season to explore Utah’s Backcountry when temperatures are usually moderate.
